Thanks for dropping by!
Hi, I’m Danny Chaplin and I’ve been active in the PR biz in both Singapore & Malaysia since 1990.
I started in journalism first, then cut my teeth in the corporate PR world from 1990-1999, handling iconic clients like BMW, Land Rover, Hitachi Asia, Samsung, and Lockheed Martin. But in 2000 I took a leap of faith and hung out my shingle as “Chaplin PR”. I never looked back. Read more.
Our first big client was the Petronas Malaysian Formula 1 Grand Prix up at Sepang Circuit. My small outfit then went on to become PR agency-of-record to Suntec Integrated Media, the exhibitions arm of Suntec City Convention Centre. I handled PR for Suntec’s Boat Asia exhibition which ran consecutively from 2004-2012. I was also the guy who launched Sentosa Cove’s prestigious ONE°15 Marina Club. Other major client wins like Simpson Marine and Qatar Airways soon followed and the rest, as they say, is history.
Today, I’m one of the most versatile and experienced PR practitioners in Singapore. And my services are bespoke, like a Savile Row tailor you might say. My pitch is simple. I want YOUR business to do well, I want to see you achieve the GOOD PRESS that your organisation truly deserves. So reach out to me. Could be the most astute move your business has ever made..
Danny
P.S. Here are some of my major career milestones...
1990-1992: Coordinated a nine-country international tourism campaign (“Visit ASEAN Year 1992”) which promoted Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei and the Philippines in the key foreign markets of Japan, Australia and Germany.
1996-1999: For UK-based Rover Group I re-launched their newly-acquired iconic Land Rover brand right across Asia.
2005-2006: Chaplin PR unveiled Singapore’s prestigious ONE°15 Marina Club and introduced Singaporeans to the yachting lifestyle.

How the Media describe us
“In the course of my decade's experience working at Forbes,
reporting from a dozen countries, and writing scores of articles
for the magazine, I have of course worked with many public
relations professionals across the globe, at agencies and inhouse
at companies large to small. Among those, I would rank
Danny Chaplin and his wonderful business partner Grace as
among the top ten of their global peers and would happily
recommend him to anyone (which I have already done to
several folks). Enough said.”
Justin Doebele, Contributing Editor, Forbes Asia
“It has been a pleasure working with Chaplin Public Relations
on many occasions during my stint in The New Paper and now
in The Straits Times. The personal attention to detail from
Danny Chaplin has made the vital difference to many a story.
His tenacity in getting the media to attend his events, as well
as his willingness to cater to the various story angles wanted
by different media, has to be lauded.”
Pradeep Paul, Executive Sub-editor,
The Straits Times Life, LifeStyle and Urban
“Having worked with Chaplin PR on numerous occasions
during my tenure in Singapore I can say that the agency has
always been a pleasure to work with.
It is one of the most proactive in Singapore with regards to
finding story angles tailored to suit the publication, and it is a
pleasure to receive press releases that are not only to the
point, but also written in clear English - unfortunately a rare
occurrence in Singapore. In short, a very professional outfit.”
Tony Watts, Editor, The Expat
“Chaplin PR is always professional and supplies both
information and images in a user-friendly format. Furthermore,
Danny provides a quick and personal response to individual
requests, and such easy and honest interaction makes it a
pleasure rather than a burden to use his clients’ materials.”
John Higginson, Editor, Asia Pacific Boating
